2017 Night Hike to Help the Homeless in Downtown L.A.
Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, 9 PM

WE’LL MEET at Joe’s Parking Lot, 212 E. 7th St. at 9 PM

WE START HIKING AT 9:30 PM. The event culminates around MIDNIGHT with the traditional breakfast at the Original Pantry. The route is between 2-4 miles round trip, as we seek out citizens in need.

THIS YEAR, I'M LOOKING FOR 3 VOLUNTEERS TO BE ASSISTANT HIKE LEADERS AND 3 VOLUNTEERS TO BE "FOLLOW DRIVERS". Leaders should know Sierra Club Hiking policy OR be familiar with Downtown L.A. If attendance exceeds 50 people, we will break off into 2 groups. Follow Drivers should have a reliable car that is easy to load/unload to carry excess donation items.
EVENT ORGANIZER: PETER GASPAR. Email me at [email protected] if you have any questions.

BRING: $8 for parking lot, street parking might be available. $ for breakfast (optional) at the Original Pantry.
ACCEPTABLE ITEMS FOR DONATION:
CLEAN CLOTHES: t-shirts, sweaters, socks, warm hats, gloves, etc.
FOOD ITEMS: sandwiches, cookies, apples, cup o' noodles, juice boxes, think non-perishables.
