VSDC NoVA SPEAKER SERIES presents
6 Months, 2,200 Miles, 1 Appalachian Trail
A Hike to Raise Awareness about Elephant Poaching and Extinction.
Patricia Welty, a 70 year Washingtonian and VSDC Member, hiked the Appalachian trail in 2016 (April 8th: Springer Mountain, Georgia -- Oct 16th: Mount Katahdin, Maine ) to raise awareness about elephant poaching and the very real danger of elephants becoming extinct.
Join the Veg Society of DC (VSDC) at Greenfare Organic Cafe for sumptuous vegan food while hearing Patricia speak about hiking the trail, being vegan on the trail, and the plight of elephants.
Timing:
4:30 p.m. - 5:15 p.m. : Talk & Q+A
5:15 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. : Dinner
