Veggie Fest Hamilton will take place on May 5th, 2018 at the Ancaster Fairgrounds, 630 Trinity Rd S, Hamilton, Ontario L0R 1R0.

The idea of Veggie Fest Hamilton came to Monica La Vella after attending Raw Stock in Niagara on the Lake and the Toronto Vegetarian Festival, both in 2012. At the time, Monica, her young children and (mostly) her husband had been vegetarian for 1.5 years. After visiting both of these events, and having a background in event producing and consulting, Monica wanted to bring the same ideas, support and resources to Hamilton.

She decided to try vegetarianism in 2011 for 30 days when her toddlers wouldn’t eat meat. She thought it would give her a chance to try meatless recipes. In that month, she read Eating Animals, Skinny Bitch and watched a variety of documentaries about our food and where it comes from. After the 30 days were done, she couldn’t look back.

Monica brings exhibitors and speakers to this event that she, herself, would want to learn and purchase from. Those who she believes will help others’ lives as well. She hopes that meat-eaters, vegetarians, vegans, and raw foodies alike will share in this awesome event as we all want to lead a more healthy life and have a more healthy planet.
