THE GREAT DEBATE! BITCOIN CHANGES THE FUTURE? WED. FEB. 21 AT ST. CYPRIAN'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH, PLUS VEGAN DINNER

Will bitcoin change the future? Two finance professionals will debate this timely question, on Wed. Feb. 21 at 6 pm The debate format will be Oxford Union, with opportunity for questions during the debate. The debate question is: "Resolved: this house believes bitcoin will change the world." Arguing for the motion is Malcolm Greenhill, CFP. Against is Robert Wenzel. Moderator is Michael Edelstein, PhD

Malcolm Greenhill is President of Sterling Futures, a fee-based San Francisco financial planning firm. He is a founding member of the San Francisco Financial Planning Association and is a past President and past Chairman of that organization. He has taught graduate financial planning courses at Golden Gate University in San Francisco and has been interviewed by ABC Channel 7 News, CBS Marketwatch, the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Wealth Manager, the Journal of Financial Planning, the San Francisco Examiner and other leading national and financial industry media. He writes an occasional blog about financial, economic and wealth related issues life on his award winning personal blog at www dot malcolmscorner.wordpress dot com. He first wrote about Bitcoin on his blog on October 12, 2012, when Bitcoin was under $15. Unfortunately, he didn’t buy any.

Robert Wenzel is editor & publisher of EconomicPolicyJournal.com and of Target Liberty, where he discusses issues relating to free markets, liberty and Private Property Society theory.

Wenzel does not expect to see a Private Property Society develop in his lifetime but he loves the intellectual battle involved in promoting it and the smashing of statists.

He considers the writings of Ludwig von Mises, F.A Hayek, Murray Rothbard, Henry Hazlitt and Harry Browne as the most important influences on his thinking. A frequent guest on radio talk shows, he has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Forbes, Bloomberg, ZeroHedge, LewRockwell.com, at CNBC and many other media outlets.

He states that his vision of liberty is "more radical than that of the Founding Fathers."

He is author of "The Fed Flunks: My Speech at the New York Federal Reserve Bank" and "Dear Fellow Health Club Members, Please Leave Me the Hell Alone: An economic analysis of the water 'shortage'" His next book, "Foundations of Private Property Society Theory" is scheduled for release in February 2018.
