She'll bring the books with her to Saratoga on August 26 and pick up arrangements will be available. Just private message Jo Anne on Facebook or email her at to let her know who she should address the book to and she'll give you the address to mail a check or explain how you can pay through PayPal. $15 total. Not in the Saratoga area? Just add $3 and she'll package and mail my book to you.

Please remember that a portion of all book sales help fund Saving Baby Equine Charity so readers are literally saving equine lives. Why not do your Christmas shopping early for that compassionate relative or friend and give the gift of life also?

HORSERACING WRONGS INFO: We have been making progress this year during our protests! People are talking to us and we are planting seeds. We are drawing the attention of local and national media! Something that people said couldn't be done. And local news outlets are Reporting racehorse deaths...something we never thought possible in Saratoga Country. We added a series (60 feet) of banners listing nearly 3,000 dead racehorses from 2014, 2015 and 2016, new leaflets and t-shirts and signs.

We still can't do it without YOU!!!

This protest is sponsored by Horseracing Wrongs https://horseracingwrongs.com/ Contact Nicole Arciello at for more info. Last year, we had an unprecedented turnout with over 75 activists lining the intersection outside the main gates at Saratoga Race Course. These huge demonstrations drew media coverage from The Times Union, The Saratogian, three local TV news and radio stations. Horseracing Wrongs, has also received national attention, appearing in the Washington Post, Boston Herald and Forbes magazine.
We are planning an even bigger turnout this year, so please join us for peaceful protest as we stand up for the horses. PLEASE BRING FRIENDS! There is power in numbers!! As always signs, banners and literature will be provided! Please come out and help us educate about the cruelty and death that is horseracing. We need to end this cruel industry!

Details:

Time: 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Place: Corner of Union Ave and East Ave (across from the main entrance)

Signs and leaflets will be provided. Homemade signs make a big impact as well.

Nicole, Ellen and Mary (organizers) will help distribute signs and direct activists where to stand. Patrick Battuello is our media spokesperson, if you find media, please let one of us know so Patrick can be interviewed. A note about How We Protest:
We join together as a group to Peacefully demonstrate, to educate through signs and literature, the cruelty and death that is horseracing. We DO NOT engage in arguments with passersby. We DO NOT yell or chant at people going into the venue. Most of these people are unaware about the cruelty of horseracing - sadly, almost all of them are unaware. That is why we are there.
Arguments and yelling have never changed someone's mind, in fact it turns people off to our message. I admire the passion in each one of you, choosing to stand with us in the hot sun, to give up part of your weekend for the horses.
If people yell or say things to you, please let it roll off, unless you think you can have a conversation with them that will not get heated. It's not worth having our message tarnished if we can reach the people approaching right behind them by being quiet and composed.
Lastly, if there are any problems, you can come and find Nicole,Ellen or Mary and we will help.
Thank you, everyone, who is choosing to come help educate about the cruelty the horses endure. This is going to be a great demonstration with wonderful dedicated activists like you standing with us! :)
