Protest Garden Bros. Circus in Trenton
Fri, October 20, 2017
6:00 PM - 7:45 PM EDTCURE Insurance Arena
81 Hamilton Avenue, Trenton, NJ, 08611, United States (map)- Animals
Event Description
Join me in Trenton on Friday to protest the Garden Bros. Circus for abusing elephants, camels, ponies, and other wonderful animals. These animals give rides and perform not because they choose to, but because they are forced to under the command of human trainers wielding disciplinary weapons. A former Garden Bros. employee recently reported that a handler currently employed by the circus has prepared elephants for shows "by jabbing them with a bullhook or by shocking them with a Taser"; and that camels with the circus have been kicked, punched, and whipped. The USDA recently cited Garden Bros. for "repeatedly" hitting a llama with a whip.
I will drive from Philadelphia to Trenton. Let me know if you need a ride.
Free street parking is available.
Signs and leaflets will be provided.
