Event Description
Event hosted by Seattle Vegan Activists.

The Enumclaw Live Auction operates every Saturday and it's about an hours drive from Seattle. Animals sold at their live animal auction often include: chickens, pigs, cows, goats, ducks, geese, peacocks, rabbits, sheep, day-old calves, feeder calves, "beef" cows and dairy cows. They also have a horse auction on the first Sunday of every month.

On Saturday August 26th organizers from Seattle Farmed Animal Save will be hosting a peaceful vigil outside the Enumclaw Sales Pavilion to raise awareness about the plight of farmed animals in our communities.

We will be starting at 11:00 am as the animals are being brought to the pavilion, and demonstrating during the first part of the morning poultry auction and continuing until 1pm when they are supposed to start the livestock auction.

We are a grassroots, love-based, and peaceful organization. We believe in non-violence and the transformational power of compassion. We follow a Tolstoyian perspective in that we do not believe in turning away from suffering, but instead moving closer to it.

Event Details:
11am - 1pm

We will have signs to hold. You're always welcome to bring your own signs with peaceful messages. Please bring a camera and your compassion. Please bring friends, family, or come on your own! Whether we have a big or small presence, the animals need us.

We recommend parking across the street from the sales pavilion at the public park.
