**Calling all runners**  Join Team VSDC in the Run for the Animals.  Save money and Sign Up NOW.  OK - not just for runners but really for everyone!

Meet next to the pavilion (where the food will be) at 8:00 am on race day.  Look for members with their green "VSDC" t-shirts.  We will take a team pic too!

The annual "Run for the Animals" hosted by Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary, is Sunday, May 21st.  Sign up for the 5K run or 1 mile fun walk. Be a part of Team VSDC (Vegetarian Society of DC).  Runners of all levels are encouraged. The top two times for men and women count, so no need to worry about holding the team back; the more the merrier! Runners/Walkers, please wear your green VSDC T-shirt so we are a matching team. Some T-shirts may be available for purchase to runners/walkers the day of the event @ $5 each.

VSDC thanks Bethany Owens for being Team VSDC Captain!  Stay tuned: Team VSDC will plan a couple of fun, team-building events in advance and on the day of.

Join the 5K run and 1 mile fun walk. The course is a beautiful run/walk through Brookside Gardens!  Delicious vegan refreshments will be provided. Although dogs cannot participate in the run, they are more than welcome to come out and join the walk. 

WHEN: May 21 at 8:00 am (registration opens at 7:00 a.m., please arrive by 8:00 a.m. for the 8:30 am race start)
WHERE: Wheaton Regional Park, 2000 Shorefield Road, Wheaton, MD 20902
PRICE: $28 until April 16; $30 April 17-May 20; $35 on race day. 

Registration fees benefit Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary for the life-saving work they do everyday.
