But many of us are feeling the creep of burnout and compassion fatigue, which can have a serious impact on our wellbeing and effectiveness as activists and advocates. Research has shown that expressive writing can be an effective intervention to increase resilience and lower burnout and compassion fatigue for helping professionals.
