Event Description
Join the Cleveland Animal Rights Alliance for a presentation by local activist and former Marine, Alex Thompson.
In this talk, Alex will discuss his experiences living and working on organic farms, and his failed attempt to find a "good" way to do animal agriculture. He'll also discuss the intersection between veganism and Buddhism; explaining the ways in which a vegan diet helps him fulfill his vow to save all sentient beings from suffering.
Alex Chong Do Thompson is a former Marine who now earns his living as a Business Analyst. He splits his free time between social justice work, cycling, and deepening his meditation practice. Alex has been a Zen practitioner since 2013, and he is training to become a lay minister in the Bright Dawn Center of Oneness Buddhism. You can learn more about his practice by visiting his blog, The Same Old Zen (http://sameoldzen.blogspot.com/)
{Vegan snacks will be provided at this event}
