Stone Salad Sunday Supper!

We've done these before! Everybody LOVES Stone Salads! This week Angela is taking the lead! Please bring your contribution of Fresh Organic Veggies and Fruits for these 2 Salads. We create them on Site in the Kairos Kitchen. Working together as a Community we all cut them up, starting as early as 4:30 PM, but no later than 5:00PM,  so they are ready to Serve at 5:30 PM.

GRACE PRACTICE

In this month's Inner Body Competence session, Angela will guide us in working with the energy in our body to achieve a relaxed and easeful state while also increasing our vitality.  She will do this by leading us in some simple movements, breathing techniques and chanting from Kundalini Yoga.  Kundalini Yoga is called the Yoga of Awareness.  It is a dynamic, powerful tool that is designed to give you an experience of your soul.  It has the effect of uplifting the spirit and is for people who have to cope with the daily challenges and stresses of life.

Sunday Supper is a weekly DIY raw food and spirituality meet up sponsored by Christ the Healer UCC, an all-embracing gathering of persons interested in exploring ways to live abundantly. We teach and practice a healing framework we call the Compass Way to heaven on earth and are always learning and sharing new "grace practices."

Sunday Supper begins each week at 5:30 with a 3-5 course raw vegan gourmet meal put together by volunteers. We eat together at round tables and discuss a theme question to break the ice and build community. After dinner, one of the regulars shares a "grace practice" that they find life-expanding and we can all try together. Then we close with prayers for the world and an all-traditions holy communion before cleaning up the kitchen and saying goodbye.

You can expect an interesting evening, a delicious meal, a warm welcome, and a chance to widen your experience of community.

We support Sunday Supper by our ($10-$20) sliding scale donations to reimburse the chefs, pay for rent, insurance and equipment, and help the folks who wish to join us but don't have the funds. Sunday Supper is special-- Portland's longest running (and only) weekly raw vegan meetup open to the public and eager to include you.
