What: Embudito Trail hike plus vegan lunch on the trail

Time: Saturday April 21st, 9:30 AM

Location: Embudito Trailhead, Trailhead Road, Albuquerque, NM 87111 (Please do not confuse Embudito Trailhead with Embudo Trailhead.) GPS coordinates,

This is a DIFFICULT hike! We will attempt to take the Embudito Trail all the way up to the Crest Trail and return the same way, for a steep, rocky round trip of 8.2 miles. Scenic compensation is abundant, however. Lots of twists and turns, ups and downs, and many kinds of trees at the higher elevations. This hike is really beautiful. 

Pack yourself a vegan lunch and we'll stop to eat and converse at a scenic overlook at or near the top. Please respect all members of this ABQ Vegan Meetup event by ensuring that any food we bring along for the hike is completely plant-based (no meat, no dairy, no eggs, and no honey).
