 What: Embudito Trail hike plus vegan lunch at An Hy Quan 

Time: Saturday January 20th, 9:30 AM 

Location: Embudito Trailhead, Trailhead Road, Albuquerque, NM 87111
(Please do not confuse Embudito Trailhead with Embudo Trailhead.) GPS coordinates, 



This is a difficult hike. We will only be covering about 5 miles round trip, but they are 5 steep, rocky miles. Scenic compensation is abundant, however. Lots of twists and turns, ups and downs, giant boulders (we won’t have to climb over them), and many kinds of trees at the higher parts. This hike is really beautiful. 

We will not go all the way up to the top; rather we will hike up the mountain for about an hour, and then turn around and return the same way. More description and driving directions are available at: http://www.sandiahiking.com/trailguide.html#embudito

Please use care in ordering as not all dishes at An Hy Quan are completely vegan. Please respect all members of this ABQ Vegan Meetup event by ensuring that any food we bring along for the hike or order at the restaurant is completely plant-based (no meat, no dairy, no eggs, and no honey). If you would like to join for the lunch only that would be great too, but I can only predict a very approximate arrival time at the restaurant of 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM, to leave some flexibility for the speed of the hike.
