Event Description
Join us and learn how food choices and food preparation affect our emotions, integrity and health and the ethical impact on animals and the environment. Are you confused by the new dietary recommendations from the USDA? They used to recommend the Food Pyramid, and now it's the Food Plate. What should you be eating 5 to 7 days per week? What if you have a heart condition, high cholesterol or diabetes? Where do superfoods fit in? Learn how to incorporate them into your diet now and how they can help.
Workshop includes a discussion and vegan food preparation followed by a book signing with Dr. Millie. Come learn and taste with us. Saturday, March 17th, 1:30 PM-3:30 PM. Free Event – Contributions Appreciated. Held at the Meditation Museum, 9525 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD. RSVP at www.meditationmuseum.org/meditation-events
