Event Description
Please join the Animal Rights Foundation of Florida, and speak up for circus animals in Kissimmee outside the Circus Pages shows. If you joined us at Ringling Bros this time of year, these animals need your voices just as much.
WHEN: Tuesday January 16th
Protest times are 3:30 and 6:30
WHERE: Osceola Heritage Park located at 1911 Kissimmee Valley Ln, Kissimmee. Signs and banners provided.
Help us speak for the animals who are enslaved by traveling circuses. Attendees don't realize the trauma and stress that the animals must go through daily, until they're no longer able, just to provide a few moments of 'entertainment' for us in the ring.
The USDA has cited Circus Pages for failure to have records of veterinary care, for unsafe enclosures, for declawing 2 young tigers, and for failure to provide animals with sufficient space and appropriate food. Circus Pages travels with several animals, including those two declawed tigers, camels, horses, ponies, and 2 African elephants named Bombi and Daisy.
Both elephants were captured in the wild in 1974.
