Event Description
We've found a weak spot in our campaign target! We will be phone banking Darden Executives a few times through December to support a national effort to flood their phone lines all month long. This is part of our campaign asking Darden (owner of Olive Garden, Yard House, Capital Grille, and more) to implement a meaningful welfare policy for chickens abused in its supply chain, which is part of a larger campaign to reform the entire "broiler" industry and reduce the suffering for almost 8 billion chickens every year.
Join the efforts by attending one (or both) of our phone banking opportunities this month in Boulder! You do not need any experience phone banking to join in on the fun - we'll teach you! Because of the time of day we'll be calling, most, if not all, calls will go to voicemail so employees have a lot to catch up on Tuesday mornings. This means you will not be in any high-pressure conversations, but you will still be getting a message across in a strategic way for animals.
Please bring your fully-charged phone with you. There is plenty of free parking in the parking lot. Native Foods Cafe is 100% plant-based, so you can grab dinner, an appetizer, or just a warm beverage!
If you can't make these times or location but want to help out with the efforts in your own time, please email Zoë at [email protected] and she will give you materials needed to make a big impact for animals.
If you want to organize a low-key phone banking get-together in your neck of the woods, contact Zoë at [email protected] for materials and instructions!
