Event Description
Event hosted by Veggie Tucson.

Tucson Vegan Spirituality is going to get a quick tour of this amazing sanctuary, then do some volunteering!
Optional lunch afterward at Uprooted Kitchen http://theuprootedkitchen.com

Children must be at least 12 years old for the safety of the animals and children. The sanctuary address:
13823 S 155th St
Gilbert,AZ

We can help out there by a few of us washing a horse, walk alpacas, or there is always manure to scoop :)
Just loving on the pigs and goats is also a big help. They are located about two hours from Tucson, so plan on leaving Tucson at the latest 7am to meet there for the tour at 9am! Wear comfortable walking shoes, bring sunscreen, sun hat, plenty of water and snacks. If you would like to bring donations such as produce the animals can eat, like carrots, apples, watermelons, bananas, or bags of chicken feed it would be greatly appreciated. They do also accept cash donations. They care for 50 animals and rely solely on donations to care for them, so every little bit helps.

"We rescue all sorts of farm animals from abuse, neglect or because their previous owners are not able to take care of them anymore. We have ducks, geese, horses, pigs, goats, donkeys, sheep and many other farm animals waiting for you to love them like we do."
